A rapidly growing part of the own label sector is in non-food products. The Own Label show has a specific area for companies who manufacture for the non food sector.
"The Own Label Show has presented a different experience to other trade shows we have attended over the years," said James Smith, MD of Shepley Spring. "The halls were never busy, however we met with a number of buyers from major retailers and have been asked to quote for three sizeable and worthwhile pieces of business."
Buyers from Euro Food Brands, Musgrave Retail Partners, Ocado, Poundland, Superdrug and Tesco's visited in 2009.
"The Own Label Show offered us the opportunity to discuss our products with key buyers and brokers in the UK", said Andrew Gluck, co-owner of Hopi Popi. "In contrast to other shows the buyers are unhurried and interested in discussing products at length."
